It was so wonderful to be joined by so many lovely people, to celebrate the journey so far – completing my Adinkra EP, celebrating my love of Ghana’s culture. It was more like playing in a warm and wonderful front room – a celebration with friends. It was a joy to meet backers of my Kickstarter campaign whom I had never met before, along with people from so many places, Ghana, Nigeria, East Africa and South Africa, Eastern and Western Europe. We played songs from the EP that I have performed on a few occassions, and also some that I hadn’t such as Asasé representing the Adinkra symbol for the beauty and power of the earth. All of the songs had a wonderful response from the lovely audience, and I would like to thank everyone for coming along xx Big thanks too to the group of lovely people to the back of the room, who danced all the way through the gig to absolutely everything we played, fast or slow – it was so heart-warming 🙂 Big thanks to the Green Note for having us. Thanks from the heart also to all the lovely people who gave us such brilliant feedback at the end of the night and bought my Adinkra EP. Thanks too to the Camden New Journal.. we got press a mention AND a photo in the newspaper! 🙂
It’s not officially out for a few weeks, but please click here to listen to my Adinkra EP
