Thanks to Okay Africa and Accra dot Alt Radio for these stunning images of pioneering Ghanaian photographer James Barnor who brought colour photography to Ghana via his studio which he named ‘Ever Young’, based in the Jamestown area of Accra, Ghana’s capital. Now in his 80s, he is based in London. His work spans 6 decades, and is being discovered by new, younger audiences and audiences across the globe with exhibitions in countries Ghana, France, the Netherlands and Lebanon.
I love this images which say so much about Ghana and it’s culture. There’s more here about my music and it’s Ghanaian influences.
Thanks for coming by
